WHY RPM EXISTS

RPM Mobile Repairs was founded in 2024 by Dustin and Brian, two experienced mechanics who shared more than a passion for repairing vehicles. They shared a belief that the automotive and marine repair industries could—and should—do better.

After years of working in and around dealerships, automotive repair facilities, and marine service centers, both had witnessed situations where generating revenue seemed to matter more than properly diagnosing and repairing the problem. Customers were sometimes treated like dollar signs rather than people who depended on their vehicles, boats, and equipment.

Both founders believed honest communication, quality workmanship, and respect for customers should never take a back seat to maximizing profits.

Do what's right for the customer, even when it isn't the most profitable option.

Different paths and complementary experience helped shape RPM's approach to repair work.

DUSTIN

Automotive, marine & military technical experience

Dustin's mechanical experience began around age nine, working alongside his grandfather on automotive maintenance and repairs.

At 18, he joined the United States Navy, advancing to Gunner's Mate Second Class (E-5), where he gained extensive experience with mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.

After his military service, Dustin continued working in automotive and marine repair, servicing boats professionally during the day while repairing vehicles during evenings and weekends. Along the way, he continued developing his technical expertise and pursuing professional certifications.

BRIAN

Automotive performance, equipment & fabrication

Brian brought an equally important wealth of mechanical knowledge and practical experience to RPM's foundation.

With experience spanning roughly two decades, his background includes automotive repair, performance and racing modifications, heavy and light equipment, fabrication, and a broad range of mechanical projects.

His versatility across different types of machinery—from conventional repairs to specialized modifications and fabrication—helped build the technical foundation and problem-solving approach behind RPM.

Just as importantly, Brian shared the conviction that customers deserve accountability, honest workmanship, and genuine respect.

For Dustin and Brian, starting RPM wasn't simply about opening another repair business. Both had seen cases where financial targets took priority over proper repairs, honest diagnoses, and customer satisfaction. They wanted to build something different.

Diagnose the actual problem. Recommend the appropriate repair. Explain the options honestly. Treat every customer as a person—not a paycheck.

With that shared vision, they joined forces to establish RPM Mobile Repairs. Brian played a pivotal role in turning the idea into reality. His mechanical expertise, dedication, contributions during the company's founding, and commitment to their shared values were instrumental in getting RPM off the ground.

RPM was built through the combined efforts of two mechanics who believed doing right by people should be the foundation of a successful repair business—not an obstacle to profitability. The standards they established together continue to guide RPM.

RPM Mobile Repairs is a veteran-owned, ASE-certified mobile repair business serving western Kentucky and surrounding communities.

We specialize in mobile automotive diagnostics and mechanical repairs, with additional services covering marine engines, ATV/UTV repairs, and small-engine equipment.

Our approach is straightforward: take the time to identify the actual problem rather than guessing, replacing unnecessary parts, or recommending repairs that aren't justified. We aim to explain our findings and give customers the information they need to make informed decisions.
